On Saturday November 1st, Del Mar Thoroughbred Club will host the $2,000,000 Cygames Breeders’ Cup Sprint At Del Mar Thoroughbred Club November 1st 2025. The Breeders’ Cup Sprint is an American Weight for Age Grade I Thoroughbred horse race for horses three years old and older. Run on dirt over a distance of 6 Furlongs (3⁄4 mile), the race has been held annually since 1984 at a different racetrack in the United States as part of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
The world’s fastest Thoroughbreds compete in the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Sprint, sometimes achieving incredible speeds of nearly 40 MPH in the stretch. This race is contested at 3/4 of a mile for male and female horses, three years old and older.
